The Kruwehl family is dead; Dead by mysterious poisoning! You're a journalist investigating a serious crime. And now it's your turn to meet this tragic end. You are a good journalist, nevertheless you wrote an article on Kale Kruwehl, the current owner of the "Sheer Agony Manor". Now you regret this article...You can't let yourself die like this. There must be a solution. And this solution has to be in the manor, inevitably...
Well nice scenario but it is a difficult adventure though having (unfortunately) a few bugs that makes the gameplay quite unfair; most of the puzzles could be solved by luck as there are no hints following the scenario to do it! Also in order to examine a scene you have to stand on certain spots otherwise no luck to continue!
The game was also released for all its Atari ST-family predecessors!
Technically the game is great, having excellent True Color graphics and frightening digitized background sounds with CD quality make it a truly Atari Falcon capability game. Indeed Sheer Agony was very appreciated by Atari magazines. Note that even the Atari ST version has great visuals, although limited to 16 colors on-screen!
