Your flying onto planet Orac in the year 2059 in another galaxy, in which enemy life forms group together to attack you in lethal waves. The screen soon becomes very busy as several (land-based) alien fighters join your craft. When destroy certain aliens they sometimes yield a star. Pick up the star and this will highlight the icon at the bottom of the screen. Press spacebar and this will award you with the indicated power-up, such as enhanced speed (this is the very first upgrade to do, as it will give you the proper maneuverability to avoid enemy fire), extra wings for more payload, side-shots etc.
But action is rather slow and tiresome, which is on the negative side of the game, especially when we play with an arcade shoot-em-up game!
The game's graphics are good back late 80's, being quite well drawn, depicting most of the original (arcades) version. Scrolling is quite good as with the sprite animations too.
Sound and music are similarly effective, but you can only choose either one. The effects are solid laser-shots fulfilling their purpose, but doing little to enhance the game. The soundtrack is far from thrilling musical experience, being a rather repetitive sort loop, but it's fine and written by David Whittaker.
