An arcade beat em up for the SEGA Game Gear which has nothing to do with the original famous street brawl. Actually its full title is...Double Dragon: The Revenge of Billy Lee.

Review
Double DragonThe game's story on Sega's Game Gear portable, differs from any other version because Billy Lee (a martial artist) is out to avenge the death of Jimmy at the hands of the Evil Dragon Clan. It is a typical 2D arcade beat em up and a direct port from the port Master System version. Note that the game is EXTREMELY difficult when played on one-player mode. The nasties are damn near impossible to beat which will cost you a life at each level for sure (if you manage to progress to level...3). Add to that, the sticky controls and a limited arsenal of attack which it make this game pretty frustrating... Not to mention handheld'ssmall visible area... Well, this game is included here, because of it's...title...roots...and only...

Graphics here are good I believe, having nicely detailed backgrounds of city landscapes. But, the sprites animation in this game must move at about 10-frames-per-second. This game's almost painful to watch. While everything looks really nice as a whole, the animation is crap. Sound effects are either non-existent or pure garbage. Everything and although there are several music scores while playing, the game just sounds grainy and full of static.
