Oddworld: Strange's Wrath, a 3D open world action game developed exclusively for the XBOX console in 2005 by Oddworld Inhabitants Inc and published by the great company Electronic Arts.

Review
Oddworld: Strangers WrathThe hero of this game is Stranger, an animal-like (and a very funny) guy that works as a bounty hunter pursuing various criminals around the game's vast world (The Oddworld). This is what he actually does for a living. His main goal is to arrest (dead or alive that is) criminals, take the reward and gather money for some odd personal reason (a strange operation actually). While chasing and stalking around, Stranger discovers that there's something wrong in a small town inhabited by some other animal-like creatures called Grubbs. The inhabitants have being invaded by a powerful demon and their previous protectors (the Steef) have all of a sudden vanished. Stranger starts his quest to see what went wrong but on the way he finds out that another odd incident has taken place. A whole river (nearby the town) has been dried out by a mysterious person. Stranger is all by himself now and he has to face a lot of criminals and interact with many other creatures in order to find solutions, buy stuff and get some aid on his challenging quest. His main weapon is a multi-bow that shoots various...odd "arrows". These arrows are living creatures, each one with its own potential. Just play the game and check the "ammunition" of your bow. You'll laugh to tears! You can load your bow with more than 80 different creatures! Apart from his bow, Stranger can hit the enemies with his fists, knocking them down and then arrest them. Arresting creatures alive grants Stranger a higher reward. The game's missions can be selected via an office called Bounty Shop (much like a Sheriff's office that gives you a bounty hunting mission). Money granted can be used to purchase medical aid, weapons and stuff you need.
Graphically, the game is one of the best I've ever seen on a 6th generation console, showing the great power of the XBOX (it's an exclusive XBOX game anyway). The colors are vivid, the textures are so smooth and well placed and the environments are fantastic representing a Wild West world with great accuracy.
Sonically, the soundtracks remind me of Western movies and the sound FX are exactly what this game needs (wait until you listen to your living arrows' "comments"). The game is mainly played in 3rd person perspective and you can change it to 1st person whenever needed (to shoot, for instance). Overall this game is fantastic. And different for sure. This whole combination of a Wild West atmosphere and the alien-like creatures is so funny and enjoyable. Apart from the original XBOX owners, the game can easily be played on the XBOX 360 as well since it belongs to the compatibility list. My opinion, DON'T MISS IT!
