Saloon Cars

STORY / GAMEPLAY
There is no actual story here since this is a racing game. Saloon Cars is a great 3D racing / driving simulator in which you can among several official car brands like BMW and race through a variety of tournaments. The car handling feels great and the framerate is smooth enough depending on the Acorn model. Even on a 8 MHz Risc-based A3000, the game looks, sounds and plays greatly!

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics look so beautiful with 256 colors on-screen and nicely drawn environments, all in a 3D style perspective! The action's pace is quite fast depending on the Acorn model so imagine it running on a a 25 Mhz A5000 machine! As far as the sound, the game has great sampled sound effects including car engines, tires spinning and more, during racing. Saloon Cars is a truly impressive racer that every Acorn owner should own!
