Willie's Adventures is an action platform game that looks and plays like Zool. It was developed in 1995 by Atari, for their 32bit home computer, the Falcon 030.

Review
WillieSTORY / GAMEPLAY
Willie is a skilled painter and one day sees his paintings coming to life in awe. Eventually he gets trapped inside his paintings and has to find his way out, confronting characters he made himself. Yes the story is that simple, as in most games of its kind (action platform). Willie's Adventures is played inside some vast worlds with numerous platforms (it looks and plays like Zool), with each world split into at least two levels and include some nice, secret bonus levels. Each world features different enemies and holds its own distinctive graphics style. The main aim is to climb onto trees, jump onto platforms, fire at -or avoid- enemies and find the exit for the next stage. The gameplay is pretty tough since the enemies do not die by a single shot and they move fast towards you.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics are well designed, colorful with more than 200 colors on-screen and the animation is really smooth. The sprites are all excellently designed and animated (congrats to Willie for that) and have their own individual characteristics. Those gorgeous visuals are combined with a bunch of impressive, sampled sounds punctuating a catchy background tune.
