The game is also called Puzzle Bobble Mini and was released only for the Neo Geo Pocket Color hardware by Taito in 1999. The format is similar to Bust-A-Move 2 (also known as Puzzle Bobble 2).

Bust-A-Move PocketSTORY / GAMEPLAY
Bust-A-Move Pocket is the SNK's handheld console exclusive title of the series! You play the role of Bub (or Bob) and at the bottom of the screen you see those lovely little dinosaurs (we met on Taito's popular 1986 arcade game Bubble Bobble) to control a device called "Pointer" that aims and fires colored balls upwards. The fired balls (intended to be bubbles) are shot in straight lines while possibly bouncing off the side walls of the area. If a bubble touches an identically colored bunch of two or more bubbles they all "pop" and removed from the field of play awarding points. Note that the color of bubbles fired is randomly generated by the Pointer and chosen from the colors of bubbles still left intact on-screen. Note that the game also includes a Player Vs CPU mode, where the player can compete against a selection of eight characters.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
Bust-A-Move is brilliant in every available version and the Neo Geo Pocket's is not an exception! I really enjoy playing this portable version. The colors are impressive though the background details are minimal. I would expect at least some more backdrops as the Neo Geo Pocket's hardware is quite capable. Other than that, the game is appealing in every aspect. What really impressed me most is the music. Along with its visuals and gameplay, the game's music is ideal to cheer up and have great fun. Bust-A-Move Pocket is a game that one just can't leave aside (in any hardware)! I strongly recommend it!
