| XBOX was the first attempt from Microsoft to enter the video games industry and made a big success with it. XBOX was developed in 2001 and sold to many countries around the world. XBOX belongs to the sixth generation of video game consoles, along with Sega Dreamcast, Sony PS2 and Nintendo Gamecube. Among its counterparts, it was the most powerful since it used state-of-the-art specs, such as powerful CPU, GPU and sound capabilities that could not be matched (it was the only console that featured Dolby Interactive Content-Encoding Technology), plus that it had a built-in hard disk inside. Bulk, heavy, with big controllers, XBOX enjoyed some exclusive titles like Halo, that could show what the console could do at its time. | |
